My gap was actually a lot bigger than you see in the second picture, because by this point I had bonded material to my front teeth to make the gap look smaller while closing. All up I expanded around 12-14mm which is one of the largest expansions they have done. I'm happy to say that as of this morning, my gap is completely closed. But i'm not sure if its all worth it..a big factor for me is the surgery, costs and the aftermath of pain haha what was post surgery life like for you? did you have to get alot of time off work? was it difficult talking and eating? And true to what you say, seeing your jaw widen and adjust this much only means that you are gaining progress and doing the right thing. Please continue to update us!
Lindsay @ Smile by DesignAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17172453450769832341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822472094673756660.post-53194448683192662492013-09-11T22:42:40.468+10:002013-09-11T22:42:40.468+10:00Hi Will
Thanks for reading and for your comment. ...Hi Will

Thanks for reading and for your comment. I haven't updated the blog in a while and I will be doing that this weekend.

To answer your question - it was only the upper jaw I had widened - and yes it is quite normal. Lower jaws can be widened but this is a much more complex procedure. My lower jaw is wide enough and it's just the teeth that need rotating out a little.

Good luck with your consult. Who are you seeing?

AndyAndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03854401387566871501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822472094673756660.post-31539459050192448152013-09-11T22:29:43.093+10:002013-09-11T22:29:43.093+10:00Hiya.
